I am watching it in 2x speed for the sake of watching it and maybe to make my previous claims valid. There is no right answer here. If i stopped watching after ep 3 and it gotten better people will tell me I havent seen the entire season so my disappointed comments are invalid. Meanwhile if I finished this anime and still got disappointed people will tell me that I even completed the anime yet telling it that it is bad.

perhaps also i am hoping for a part where it can salvage the anime.. but cant see any hope up to this ep.

It's supposed to be basically slapstick. I'm enjoying what little plot there actually is but if you just watch it for some laughs you'll do much better

That was the cringiest Evangelion reference I have ever seen. This show obviously tried to be Gintama but it wayyyy less funny and more cringe. There are only 4 episodes left. I don't know whether I can last until then, TBH.

last season was more powering up and harem building. Now its just random show plots thrown at you so the trash isekai magic is gone and you are left with a typical fantasy anime sitcom.

Gintama played that one also and it was more classy.

oookay, i'll take your word for it. i've got the original Eva TV series, first version, individual disk-packs of Eva English dub from ADV Films on DVD and i've had em for over 20 years. i've also got both endings on DVD and the first 2 of the 'new Eva' projects on disk also. i haven't been able to afford the rest of the 'new Eva' projects on disk yet. i can't remember how many times i've rewatched all the disks i've got... and i STILL don't recall that scene you mentioned. 'the four congratulations from the guild members' for the new guy, and everybody's standing on some kind of bumpy lumpy weirdly patterned blue sphere? that scene in this episode? was that Eva scene in the TV series or one of the two ending projects?

It's from the ending of the original TV series. I think you just need to search for Evangelion Congratulations Ending.
